150 foreign applicants became winners of the contest "All roads lead to MADI"

In February 2021 an international intellectual contest "All Roads Lead to MADI" started at our University. According to its results 150 citizens of the CIS countries South Ossetia, Abkhazia and Moldavian Republic of Transdniestria were granted a priority right for enrollment in MADI for state-financed places.

Before 2021, only six leading Russian universities had the right of priority admission of foreign citizens. This year, MADI joined them, becoming the first technical university in this list. Our university has become a leader in the field of engineering education, and next year MADI plans to hold a similar competition again. At the same time the number of state-funded places will be increased, and not only bachelors and specialists, but also masters and PhD students will be able to get the right for free education.

Enrollment of foreign students based on the results of the international intellectual contest "All roads lead to MADI" became possible thanks to the Chairman of the Public Council of MADI, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots Kazbek Taisaev and Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Valery Falkov.

554 people from 14 states applied for participation in the competition. After testing in mathematics, the competition committee selected 150 applications with the highest number of points. The rest of the participants fell into the waiting list. Such high interest in engineering specialties once again confirmed the relevance of the educational programs presented at MADI and their importance for the development of national economies of friendly states.

"MADI is the leading scientific, educational and methodological center of the Russian Federation and the Basic organization for the CIS member states for training, professional retraining and advanced training of personnel in sectors of the automobile and road complex. That's why our university undertakes to train highly qualified specialists for the profile ministries, departments and enterprises of these states," said Victor Alipa, the Pro-Rector for CIS countries.

Among all the areas of MADI training foreign applicants have preferred specialties related to construction, energy, operation of road transport and mechanical engineering. IT, transport process technologies and management are also very popular.

At the moment the sets of documents of the competition winners are being checked in the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, after which the applicants will have to fill in the agreement and wait for the order of enrollment in MADI.
