MADI team took 3rd place at Moscow classic grand prix

On Saturday, May 29th the first round of "Moscow Classic Grand Prix" circular race championship on classic and historical cars  took place.

The MADI high-speed cars laboratory team was not left out of such an important auto sport holiday. For many years in a row the university's legendary racer Edgard Lindgren won prizes in this tournament. And this year the team intended to continue the great master's work.

Maxim Toporkov, the leading engineer of the high-speed cars laboratory, associate professor of Automobiles subdepartment, took the start of the race on Edgard Lvovich's car. The debut took place in the most difficult weather conditions - heavy rain significantly complicated the race and gave noticeable advantages to those who had "fresh" rain tires.

Nevertheless Maxim Toporkov ran both races with dignity and showed an excellent result, winning third place in the tense struggle!

The team dedicated its success in the championship to the memory of Edgard Lindgren. We are sure that the team of the Speedway laboratory will be able to continue the development of circuit racing in Russia with dignity.

From the bottom of our hearts we congratulate the team and wish them more success!
