MADI to help in digitalization of Perm Region transport

On Friday, February 5, Acting Rector Andrey Keller and Acting Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Perm Territory Alexei Chernikov discussed joining efforts to develop the digital transformation of the region's transport industry.

Recently Perm Territory has been paying much attention to the development of transport in the region. Digitalization is considered an important and necessary step in upgrading the road infrastructure.

Being a recognized center of competence in intelligent transport systems, MADI will conduct advanced training and professional retraining programs for specialists in the automobile and road industry of the Perm Territory, using both intramural and online education programs. To ensure the efficiency and high quality of training, MADI will join effort with the leading universities in the region.

The Head of the department Traffic Management and Safety professor Sultan Zhankaziev, who also attended the meeting, emphasized that we will be ready to advise the regional government at all stages of implementation of the intellectual transport systems, as well as the selection of technologies and software products.

Alexey Chernikov pointed out that the creation of a benchmark digital transport system in the Perm Territory can be implemented as part of the large-scale project Perm-300, timed to coincide with the anniversary of the city.
