Student activists meet with management

On Thursday, February 4, Acting Rector Andrei Keller and the Head of the Department for Social and Educational Work Ilya Arifulin held a meeting with student activists.

Andrey Keller shared the immediate plans of the administration including the establishment of the students’ sports club and further development of student creative clubs. The meeting also discussed the issues of hostels improvement: this year some large-scale work to upgrade the living conditions in the campus is planned, while university laboratories are already under renovation.

Dr. Keller told the activists about the Engineering Center to be established here soon, which will be open to every student. The Center will make available to students the most advanced Russian and foreign equipment to study state-of-the-art software, engage in scientific research, carry out projects.

The head of the Department for Social and Educational Work, Ilya Arifulin, suggested creating a coworking zone at the university to facilitate students’ work. This initiative was supported by all the participants.

Another topic for discussion was the launch of across-the-board programs of on-job training with the option of subsequent employment for the best students. In this regard, MADI closely cooperates with the leading industry enterprises in Moscow and the Moscow region.

Closing the meeting, Andrei Keller answered students' questions and promised that such events would become regular.
