Students take part in the international competition for the best translation

The results of the international competition for the best translation have been announced. This time the contest was dedicated to the Year of Remembrance and Glory in Russia and was held under the slogan "Victory is the companion of the bold and skillful." The competition, attended by 345 students from 28 universities from Russia, Belarus and several foreign countries, was traditionally held in remote mode, so the self-isolation restrictions did not become an obstacle. The tasks of the competition were different for students of linguistic and non-linguistic universities studying English, German and French, and included a written translation of the text, a task for semantic forecasting and an essay with analysis of a practical case.
Six students of our university took part in the second round of the competition, but only two of them managed to hit the podium this year. In the nomination “For the culture of written communication and persuasiveness”, Polina Senchilo, Management Faculty, took the 3rd place, and Georgy Rudakov, Road Construction Faculty, - the 2nd.
