MADI at the Arctic 2020 conference

On February 19–20, the 5th International Conference “Arctic: Offshore Projects and Sustainable Development of Regions” (Arctic 2020) was held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Within the framework of the Conference, our university contributed to a round table discussion entitled “Comprehensive Development of Roads, Road Structures and Airfields in the Arctic Zone and Northern Regions of Russia”.
The round table was moderated by Professor Igor Chistyakov, the Dean of the Faculty of Road Construction, Head of the Department of Airports, Engineering Geology and Geotechnics and Sergey Mayorov, First Deputy General Director of “MADI - Road Technologies” company. The participants discussed innovative approaches in the design, construction, reconstruction and operation of airports and airfields in the Russian Arctic, the issues of energy conservation and energy security of airfields and airports, the use of dual-purpose airfields, digital technologies and solutions, as well as training and retraining of personnel and technical specialists for aviation in the Russian Arctic.
